Concerned about Covid-19?
Here Are Some Easy Things You Can Do To Improve Your Health
Much like the flu virus, the Covid-19 primarily affects the elderly and the immuno-compromised. These include people respiratory illness, heart disease, cancer and those taking immune-suppressing drugs. These people are also more likely to be hit harder by this novel virus.
If you don’t fall into one of these groups, it doesn’t mean that you are immune. You should still follow the recommended guidelines for protecting yourself and others, in addition to these immune supporting tips. They may improve the overall health of your immune system and potentially lower your susceptibility to viruses, bacteria and other pathogens that make people “sick”.
1) Eat an Anti-inflammatory Diet
Because approximately 80% of our immune system is located in our digestive tract, it’s very important to follow a diet that doesn’t cause digestive irritation. Many people eat foods that are high in sugar, chemicals and other harmful ingredients that weaken the immune system
The best solution is to focus on a whole-foods diet. These are the best nutrients for people’s health because they provide a variety of essential vitamins and minerals, they lower inflammation and they maintain healthy levels of good bacteria in the body.
2) Get Good Sleep
Restorative, restful sleep is the cornerstone of good health. This is something that we all know, but many still sacrifice this health-enhancing activity thinking that they can “catch up” on it later. Unfortunately, you can’t make up for lost sleep.
Even though you may be able to get by on less, between 7 and 9 hours of quality sleep per night should always be your goal. If you’re not getting this consistently, improving your sleep should become a top priority. Easy changes to make this happen include creating a routine with a consistent sleep schedule, removing light-emitting technology and keeping your bedroom cooler or turning down the heat at night.
3) Manage Stress
Chronic stress is a major concern because it increases the level of cortisol in the body. High amounts of this hormone have been shown to reduce the ability of the immune system to fight off viruses by decreasing the number of white blood cells in the body. Taking several breaks throughout the day and finding activities that help you unwind can dramatically improve this issue.
4) SUPPORT THE Immune System
To further protect yourself, there are great supplements that can offer support to the immune system. I’ve included my more information below on a product that contains all of my top recommendations.
Immune Support Packets
Immune Support Packets contain a comprehensive arsenal of immune-supportive nutrients, helping the body maintain a strong defense. Products that comprise these packets were selected for their abilities to support the body’s overall immune response, providing the body with efficacious amounts of vitamin D (balanced with vitamins A, E and K, the remaining fat soluble vitamins), vitamin C, zinc, colostrum, and a wide array of antioxidants.*
